News on Working Together for Epping

So far we have had over 10,000 visitors to our online consultation platform and 300 visitors visit the exhibition to view and comment on the draft proposals for our five sites in Epping Town Centre identified in the emerging Local Plan for redevelopment.

There are just two days left to visit our public exhibition being held at St John’s Church, St John’s Road, Epping and have your say before it finishes at 1pm on Saturday. For those  unable to attend in person, and still wish to comment, the boards are also on the platform https://workingtogetherforepping.commonplace.is.  

As part of our suggested proposals, the former school site at St John’s Road, which has been unused for many years could become a new residential location, with attractive green spaces and include the upgrading of locally listed heritage assets. Further new homes are also proposed at the Conder Building and car park at The Civic Centre and the Epping Sports Centre sites, creating more than 250 new homes that will include private rented, for sale and affordable homes to fully reflect planning policy.

 We will deliver quality sites that are considerate of the heritage of the area and create cohesive communities, but unlike other developers who keep any profits made, we will reinvest profits back to Epping Forest District Council so that they can continue to develop council housing, keep council tax low and deliver the quality services that residents deserve.
